My Week in Photos

I decided to share my week via photos with you!

I started driving by myself this week! Yay! It is so freeing and familiar being in the car by myself. Not to mention, I think I am becoming a WAY bigger help to The Quick Family. Driving on the opposite side of the road and the car is becoming way more normal. I LOVE DRIVING!

Maddison FaceTiming with my family!

My normal breakfast. Egg and banana mixed and made like a pancake!

One day this week when I facetimed my mom she was on her way to Happy Hour at my favorite restaurant, Jardin Corona! I used to go there like 4 times a week and I think our family has single handedly kept the place open with our business. She kept me on FaceTime so I could say hi to the waitstaff! They said they all miss me. I had to hang up when my mom sat down to eat chips and queso because I was SO JEALOUS! I miss good Mexican food!

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Zoe and I walk a mile into town to go to library story time and music class. For as much as she dances and sings at home, when she is at the library she normally likes to sit on my lap and just observe the other kids. I love this part of our day because she is so good in the stroller, I get a bit of a workout, and it cuts out a big chunk of our morning - so the day just flies by!

I am becoming quite the little chef and baker! One day, Jodie challenged me to make Anzac Slices. They were really easy to make and even more delicious to eat! Tasted like oatmeal raisin cookies but with out the raisins and with more brown sugar... YUMMY!

On Tuesday evening, a group of nannies and I decided to meet up at the train station in town, Flinders Station. I like to go out on Tuesdays because it breaks up the work week for me. We decided to walk by the Yarra River in Southbank and find a good restaurant to go to. It was a gorgeous night!

We ended up going to an italian restaurant and I ordered calamari! Reminded me of my dad because he loves ordering calamari anytime we go out to dinner!

So glad I have found such a good group of girlfriends here! Makes it feel like home

Walked across the Love Lock Bridge, where you put a lock on it with someone you love! I will have to go back and do it!

Just being tourists

Nanny night out!

FaceTime Stories

Thank Goodness for FaceTime. I FaceTime daily with different people from home. Usually every day with my mom and sisters and Amalia! When I talk to my sisters, I get good baby time. Ford loves to show me his baby sister in his mommy's belly! Embry loves to hold the phone herself. I am glad I get  to stay apart of their everyday lives.

Missing my besties!!
GIG EM!

ONE DIRECTION HELL YEAH! Read my entire post about that amazing concert here:

Wednesday Night Market

Wednesday night, Morgan and I met at Flinders Station again for another night out! We planned to go to the Queen Victoria Night Market. I had read that it was a must see for tourists. We walked to the market and when we got there it was FLOODED with people. It was just like any other market I have been to. Crowded, loud, food stands, and random stuff to buy. I am not the biggest fan of crowds and so I was not really that into it.... We only stayed there for like 20 minutes walking around. I guess I can check that off of my Melbourne Bucket list. We ended up enjoying the evening walking around the city and grabbed a quick bite to eat at a burger place called Grilled! Yum!

Experiencing Boost Juice Smoothies for the first time!

When I saw the word Texas on an item at the market, I freaked out!
Tourist shop!!!
I wonder if this actually works

Friday

On Friday afternoon, Bek, Tori, Morgan and I had organized an hour of Paddle Boarding on St. Kilda Beach. It was a beautiful, HOT day so I was looking forward to being on the water. I consider myself experienced when it comes to water sports. I can ski, wakeboard (somewhat), and kneeboard. And so I thought I would be pretty good at this... but I was wrong. For starters, I was kind of afraid of being in the ocean. Then mix in the waves and the current, it was almost impossible. I fell off of it once and freaked out haha! I screamed and jumped back up so quickly. After about 20 minutes, I was over it. I didn't find it that fun. Too hard and not relaxing haha. So Bek and I ended up at the bar and spent the rest of our evening having a drink.

I liked laying on the paddle board best!
So glad I met you Bek!

Zoe and I had the Monday Blues!

I am loving doing the school drop offs and pick ups!

Looking forward to another great week! I can't believe my parents and James visit in 4 weeks! Xx
